This article contains information on how to fix leaking issues on the SmartWash.
WARNING: If you notice any cracks or tears in your tank, please contact our customer service team.
CAUTION: We highly advise to use the correct cleaning solution for this unit, any other cleaning solution could cause excess foaming and a motor bypass. You will notice this because the unit will leak from the exhaust port.
If your SmartWash is leaking cleaning solution, follow the following steps:
NOTE: Please empty the solution tank after using, prolonged exposure to the solution can eat the rubber seal on the tank's lid leading to leaks.
- Remove your solution tank, and clean any residue solution left in the unit and outside of the tank
- Once the tanks have been removed and the unit cleaned, run your machine with just water to remove the leftover solution.
- If your solution tank has no cracks or tears, remove the tank cap, and rinse it under water until clean.
- Once the cap is clean, fill the tank to the correct measurement and tighten it firmly.
- Lastly, make sure your tank is correctly seated in the unit
If your SmartWash is leaking water, follow the following steps:
- Remove both your clean and dirty water tanks.
- Make sure your clean water tank is not overfilled and placed properly on the unit.
- If necessary, empty the dirty water tank and place it properly on the unit. There should be no gaps between the unit and the tanks.
TIP: Once done cleaning is recommended to run your unit for a minute, allowing the water to make its way to the dirty water tank will reduce the leaking once the unit is stored away.
TIP: It's recommended to store the unit on top of something absorbent, some leaking is normal after usage.
