WARNING: Remember to use the correct Hoover Cleaning solution and the correct amount, failing to do so would cause excess foaming and could create a motor bypass leak. You would notice this leak coming from your exhaust vents on the unit.
If your Floormate Deluxe is leaking, follow the following steps:
- Remove your clean water tank from the unit.
- Open the tank and make sure it's filled to the correct quantity.
- Once the tank is filled, seal the lid properly and firmly.
- Align the bottom of the tank with the unit and then rock it back into place. Make sure the rubber intake port in the unit is clean and clear any debris before placing the tank in place.
- Now, pull the dirty water tank by rocking it out of the unit.
- Lift the tank's lid by pulling on the side notches.
- Ensure your filter is free of dirt and debris. Rinse under water until clean.
- To place the tank back into the unit, align the bottom of the tank with the unit and then rock it back into place. Make sure the rubber intake port in the unit is clean and clear any debris before placing the tank in place.
TIP: Once you're done cleaning, keep the unit ON for some time to allow all the water to make its way to the dirty water tank, this will reduce leaking once the machine is OFF.
