This article contains all the steps necessary to fix Brush roll issues with your Evolve Pet Elite
TIP: If the unit does not turn on, make sure both the handle and battery are installed correctly. Both items should "click" into one correctly placed on the unit
NOTE: If the brush roll is clogged or tangled, it will activate automatic shut-off. Remove debris and tangles and then resume cleaning.
NOTE: Your thermal protector may have activated. A heat protector has been designed into your cleaner to protect it from overheating.
1. Turn off the cleaner
2. Empty the dirt container and clean the nozzle, filter and hose connector.
3. After 30 minutes, once the unit is clean, resume cleaning.

TIP: Make sure the unit is reclined; The rotating brush will not rotate upright.
TIP: Change the MODE of your vacuum cleaner so that it is not in BRUSH OFF mode.
Follow these steps to fix your brush roll:
- To remove the brush roll, use a coin or your fingers to turn the brush roll lock counterclockwise to release the brush.
- Take out the brush roll, cut tangled hair, and clean any debris that causes the brush roll to get stuck. Be sure to clean the end caps and the inside of the nozzle housing.
- Lastly, put the brush roll back into the nozzle and make sure it is properly aligned with the end caps, then lock the brush roll by turning the lock.
