What do lights mean on a charger?
The image below shows how to locate and identify the lights on your charger type.
If the charger is flashing a Red light continuously, please contact Hoover customer service or chat with them at Hoover.com
Note:
- Compact Chargers only have red LEDs, the battery pack will display the charge status during the charging process. Once fully charged, all LEDs will turn off.
NOTE:
- The Charging Tower prioritizes charging the unit's battery, regardless of spare battery percentage.
- The power cord in the tower is replaceable.
NOTE:
- The Dual Charger charges one unit at a time. You can leave both batteries on the charger and once it fully charges one of the batteries it will start charging the second.

- Does the dual-bay charger (BH05200) charge both batteries at the same time?
No, it only charges one battery at a time - Is it ok to store the battery on the charger once it fully charges?
Yes, the charger will stop charging the battery once fully charged.

What does light mean on a battery?
To make sure your battery is working properly or if you think there might be something wrong with your battery, press the battery fuel button on the battery.
If the battery displays the following, act accordingly:
- If your battery flashes LEDs 1&3, 2&4, or no lights → Please get in touch with Hoover customer service or chat with them at Hoover.com
- If your battery displays all LEDs → The battery is fully charged.
- If your battery flashes LEDs in order → The battery is charging, it will stop once it's fully charged.
Batteries FAQ
- Is it necessary or advisable to clean the contacts of batteries and chargers?
No, the user will not have to clean the contacts of our batteries or chargers. - Are there specialized storage requirements for the battery (outside of the ambient temperature recommendation in the product manual)?
No, as long as the batteries are not exposed to the elements they will be good.
