This article contains all the steps necessary to fix suction issues with your vacuums
NOTE: Check the disposable bag at least once a month, depending on use. Never let the bag fill past the max line to ensure optimal performance.
TIP: When inserting a new disposable bag, first puff it out and open the bag.
TIP: Make sure to adjust the nozzle to the correct height to reduce resistance when vacuuming and allowing the debris to pass through.
Follow these steps if you're experiencing low/ no suction
- First, check that your bag indicator is not RED. If your bag indicator is red, you need to replace the bag.
- Press the door release button and pull the handle up and out. Place the bag door over a trash bin and push the lever to release the bag.
- Slide the new filter bag's cardboard sleeve into the bag holder so the lever secures it in place. Once the bag is replaced. Insert the bottom of the unit door and rock it back to place until it latches to the unit.
- Now that your bag is empty, you should also check your rinseable filter. Remove the bag door and the filter bag, then lift the grill located at the bottom and pull to remove the rinseable filter.
- If you are still cleaning, tap your filter over a trash bin until its clear. Once you're done cleaning, rinse the filter under water until clear and allow it to dry for at least 24hrs.
- Once the filter is clear, replace it in the unit and secure it in place with the red grill cover.
- Once the rinseable filter is clean, check your exhaust filter. With the bag door and the filter bag removed, pull on the exhaust filter tab's holder and rock it out.
- Tap your exhaust filter until clear and wipe it with a cloth to remove any dust. Once clean you should replace the filter back in the holder and rock the holder back in the unit.
- Lastly, you should check your vacuum's air path. With the unit upright, press the hose release button to remove the hose end out. Remove any clogs or debris if any.
- You should also check the bottom of your unit for any clogs on the nozzle as well as your accessories. For more information on how to fix your nozzle and brush roll check here.
