Magnesium Upright - Low/ No Suction

This article contains all the steps necessary to fix suction issues with your vacuum

NOTE: Check the disposable bag at least once a month, depending on use. Never let the bag fill past the max line to ensure optimal performance.

TIP: When inserting a new disposable bag, first puff it out and open the bag.

Follow these steps if you're experiencing low/ no suction

  1. Let's start by making sure your unit is properly assembled. Let's make sure your handle is properly connected to the unit. Align the four connector tabs at the bottom handle with the ports on the unit, once properly installed you should hear a "click"handle-Jun-24-2024-03-19-34-9766-PM
  2. Remove the protector strip from the RS and RF handle and ensure the battery is properly placed.assemble2
  3. At the bottom of your unit, ensure your lower tube connector is clear of any blockages and properly seated in place. The O-ring should also be in place against the fan housing.
  4. Once properly seated, tighten the collar clockwise until its properly secured.

  5. Once you have checked your unit is properly installed, make sure your bag is not full. Remove the bag by unzipping the outer bag. After opening the outer bag, pull the tab on bag (11) to release bag dock from the connector. Bag dock door will hinge downward.
  6. Gently, pull the bag cardboard collard outward from the bag dock (12). The Saniseal® dust seal will close automatically.                                      
  7. bagsTo replace the inner bag, slide the cardboard collar (13) completely onto bag dock port. Firmly push (14) bag door with your thumbs until it snaps locked.

  8. Once your bag has been replaced for a new one, you should inspect your unit for any clogs or blockages. Lay your unit flat so you can access the bottom of it. Check for blockage at the mouth of the intake opening. If there is blockage, remove it with long-nose pliers, a screwdriver or coat hangerNOZZLE-Jun-24-2024-05-45-41-6704-PM

CAUTION: All disposable inner bags are not the same. Using bags other than genuine Oreck 
HEPA or non-HEPA disposable inner a bag will affect the cleaning ability of your vacuum and could cause damage to it.
