Remove                          any debris and tangles then resume cleaning **NOTE:** Your thermal protector may have been activated. A thermal protector has been designed              into your cleaner to protect it from overheating.                        *1. Turn the cleaner OFF and unplug it.*                         *2. Replace the dirt bag, and clean the nozzle, and the air path.*                        *3. After 30 minutes, once the unit is cleaned resume cleaning.*             For more information on how to clean the unit visit [here.](https://knowledgelibrary.ttifloorcare.com/oreck-library/elevate-command-conquer-and-control-?hsLang=en) **NOTE:** Your Oreck® unit comes with the brush roll assembled in the **“NEW”** position *(multiple notches showing on top edge)*. As the brush roll wears it can be adjusted for longer life ![brnote](https://knowledgelibrary.ttifloorcare.com/hs-fs/hubfs/brnote.png?width=319&height=189&name=brnote.png) When worn, rotate both plastic black endcaps at the ends of the brush roll to show a single notch **“OLD”** position. Insert back into the holding channels of the power head nozzle. ![brnote2](https://knowledgelibrary.ttifloorcare.com/hs-fs/hubfs/brnote2.png?width=234&height=187&name=brnote2.png) ### Follow these steps to fix your brush roll: 1. Lay down your unit so you can access the bottom of it. 2. Remove the **7 screws** on the bottom of the unit to remove the base plate from the unit. 3. Cut any tangles or debris and replace the brush roll in the unit by passing it through the belt and aligning the ends with the unit. *We recommend using your hand to rotate the brush roll to make sure it's properly installed* 5. Should it ever become worn or frayed, it can be replaced by an Oreck authorized service center. Chat with us to find your closest service center. **WARNING:** The motor and brush roll are equipped with bearings which contain sufficient lubrication for their lifetime.
