No Suction - Vacuums

This article contains steps necessary to fix suction issues with a vacuum.

IMPORTANT: These are general troubleshooting tips, for specific steps associated with your model, click here to enter your model and find the appropriate video & steps!

  1. Check to see if the nozzle is clogged.
    1. Turn off the unit and disconnect the nozzle to remove the debris.
      1. If your unit does not have a detachable nozzle, skip this step.
  2. Check to see if your brushes are spinning, ensure the handle is reclined and unit turned on.
    1. If your brushes do not spin, some models have a replaceable belt and removeable brushes to allow cleaning and reassembly. Check your manual for guidance, find manuals here.
  3. Check the hose for any built up debris, and use the handle of a broom to remove.
  4. After checking the hose, please be sure to securely connect the hose back to your vacuum.
  5. We also recommend checking the filter by removing it from your vacuum and tapping out any built up dirt/debris that could be resting on it.
    1. Rinse the filter with water until the water runs clear and allow a dry time of 24 hours. Please note, if your filter says do not rinse, it must be replaced if dirty.
  6. Ensure all parts are reassembled correctly and your dirt cup or bag is empty.
  7. After all the general troubleshooting steps above are completed, rip a small piece of paper and try to vacuum it up.
    1. If this is successful, your vacuum maintenance has been completed and your product is ready for normal use!
    2. If this is unsuccessful, please continue your warranty claim.
