TIP:  Your Brush roll stall might be on; this happens when your brush roll gets jammed. Turn the unit OFF for a moment then turn it back ON. If the brush roll continues stuck see the steps below.

If your PowerDash Pet+ Brush roll is not working, follow the following steps:

  1. To access the brush roll, remove the nozzle from the unit by pulling up on the latch and pulling forward. Once you have removed the nozzle cover your unit also has a quick brush roll access cover underneath, lift it and clear out any tangled debris that could be stopping your unit.

  2. Lay your unit on the side to access the bottom of it. Use a screwdriver to remove the bottom 6 screws that cover the brush roll.

  3. Remove the underside belt cover then pull the brush roll out and remove the belt from around it.

  4. Rinse the brush roll and cut free any tangles it may have. Once done place the belt around the brush roll and pivot it back into position by aligning the notches properly.

CAUTION: If you smell a burnt smell, there might be an issue with your belt. Turn OFF your unit and follow the next steps.

Follow these steps if your belt is damaged or broken

  1. Following the previous steps, slide the damaged belt off the shaft and replace it with a new one.
  2. Once you have properly placed the belt on the motor shaft, slip the brush roll through the belt.
