LinX - Brush roll not spinning

This article contains all the steps necessary to fix Brush roll issues with your LinX

NOTE: If your brush roll is clogged or tangled the automatic shut-off will activate. Remove any debris and tangles then resume cleaning        
NOTE: Your thermal protector may have been activated. A thermal protector has been designed 
            into your cleaner to protect it from overheating.
                       1. Turn the cleaner OFF and unplug it. 
                       2. Empty the dirt cup, and clean the nozzle, the filter, and the air path.
                       3. After 30 minutes, once the unit is cleaned resume cleaning.

TIP:
Make sure the unit is reclined; the brush roll won't spin in the upright position.

powerTIP: Toggle your vacuum MODE so that it's appropriate to the type of floor you're cleaning. 

O - Off
I - Suction ON (Recommended for use on hard floor)
II - Suction and Brush roll ON (Recommended for use on carpet

Follow these steps to fix your brush roll:

  1. To remove the brush roll, turn vacuum nozzle over. Remove screws indicated by the arrows on the bottom nozzle plate, then lift plate off nozzle bottom to access brush, belt and nozzle. brbelt
  2. Pull the brush roll out, cut any tangled hair, and clean any debris causing the brush roll to stall. Make sure to clean the end caps and inside the housing of the nozzle.
  3. Lastly, re-fit the brush roll into the nozzle and make sure is properly aligned with the end caps, then lock the brush roll by rotating the lock.

Follow these steps to fix your belt:

  1. Following the previous steps, remove the brush roll from the belt. Once removed replace the broken belt with a new one by placing it on the motor shaft. 
  2. Once the belt has been replaced on the shaft, inset the brush roll and align it with the end caps to lock it in place. You should turn the brush roll and the belt by hand to ensure they were assembled correctly
  3. Once the belt and brush roll have been replaced, place the bottom plate back in and screw the plat back in place.
