Remove any debris and tangles then resume cleaning  **NOTE:** Your thermal protector may have been activated. A thermal protector has been designed              into your cleaner to protect it from overheating.                        *1. Turn the cleaner OFF and unplug it.*                         *2. Empty the dirt cup, and clean the nozzle, the filter, and the hose connector.*                        *3. After 30 minutes, once the unit is cleaned resume cleaning.*             For more information on how to clean the unit visit [here](https://knowledgelibrary.ttifloorcare.com/dirtdevil-library/multi-surface-total-pet-low/-no-suction?hsLang=en). **TIP:** If your vacuum is hard to push it may be causing the brush roll to stall, try adjusting the nozzle height to the proper setting for your floor type. ### Follow these steps to fix your brush roll: 1. Lay down your unit so you can access the bottom of it. 2. Remove the **5 screws** on the bottom of the unit to remove the nozzle guard. 3. Cut any tangles or debris and replace the brush roll in the unit by passing it through the belt and aligning the ends with the unit. *We recommend using your hand to rotate the brush roll to make sure it's properly installed* 5. Once the brush roll is installed in the unit, replace the nozzle cover and secure the 6 screws in place. --- ### Follow these steps if your belt is damaged or broken 1. Following the previous steps, slide the damaged belt off the motor shaft and replace it with a new one. 2. Once you have properly placed the belt on the motor shaft, slip the brush roll through the belt. 3. Position the non-belt side end cap of the brush roll into its place in the unit, then carefully stretch the belt until the other side of the brush roll fits properly into place. 4.
