This article contains all the steps necessary to fix steam issues with your Handheld Steamer.
The unit is not Steaming
CAUTION: When troubleshooting the steamer turn the unit off and allow it to cool for up to 30 Minutes, the brass fitting in the head of the unit retains heat for long and can cause damage to the user.
- First, let's make sure that your water tank is filled to the correct measure, use the measuring cup to fill 250ml or less, do not over fill it.
- Check for clogs on your steam path. These connection point can get clogged due to dirt or buildup formula overtime debris.
- Make sure to clean your tool accessories before using to ensure maximum flow of stem.
TIP: You can use something small like a paper clip to carefully poke the orifices where steam goes through.
CAUTION: Do not use any type of cleaning solution besides Dirt Devil steam enhancers. Failing to do so will create clogs in the unit and lead to underperformance.
NOTE: When turning the unit OFF or if you need to access the tank, unplug it from the electricity and press the steam release valve until the unit is empty.
