TIP:
Make sure the unit is reclined, the brush roll won't spin in the upright position. Step on the pedal to tilt the unit backward.

TIP:  Your Brush roll stall might be on; this happens when your brush roll gets jammed. Turn the unit OFF for a moment then turn it back ON. If the brush roll continues stuck see the steps below.

  1. To access the brush roll, remove the nozzle from the unit by pulling up on the latch and pulling forward. Then lay your unit on the floor so you can access the bottom of it.

  2. Lay your unit on the side to access the bottom of it. Use a screwdriver to remove the bottom 5 screws that cover the brush roll.

  3. Remove the underside belt cover then pull the brush roll out and remove the belt from around it.

CAUTION: If you smell a burnt smell, there might be an issue with your belt. Turn OFF your unit and follow the next steps.

Follow these steps if your belt is damaged or broken

  1. Following the previous steps, remove the 4 screws holding the belt shaft in the unit. Remove the broken belt and replace it with a new one.
  2. Once you have properly replaced the belt on the motor shaft and screwed it back in, slip the brush roll through the belt.
