Featherlite Bagged - Has Low/ No Suction

This article contains all the steps necessary to fix suction issues with your vacuums

NOTE: Check the disposable bag at least once a month, depending on use. Never let the bag fill past the max line to ensure optimal performance.

TIP: When inserting a new disposable bag, first puff it out and open the bag.

TIP: Make sure to adjust the nozzle to the correct height to reduce resistance when vacuuming and allowing the debris to pass through.

Follow these steps if you're experiencing low/ no suction

  1. First, ensure your unit is properly attached to the nozzle. Secure it by inserting one (1) screw into the back of the cleaner, above the on/off switch
  2. Turn cleaner around and insert the two (2) screws into holes on either side of filter pad. Tighten to secure
  3. Once assembled, replace your bag by pulling the handle on front panel to remove. Grasp cardboard collar of paper bag with both hands and pull away from dirt tube.
  4. Expand bag away from hole before installing. Press in opening to clear paper away from hole. Grip cardboard collar and push onto dirt tube. Make sure the top of the bag is tucked into the bag chamber (A) and the bottom of the bag is tucked under (B).
  5. Lastly, you should check your vacuum's air path. Align tabs on hose to tabs on back of vacuum hose inlet then, push in and turn clockwise to secure. Wrap hose around hose guide and insert hose end into right side of vacuums lower air path.
  6. You should also check the bottom of your unit for any clogs on the nozzle as well as your accessories. For more information on how to fix your nozzle and brush roll check here.
